Aran Wool Moss Stitch Border Throw Knitting Pattern - Moss Stitch Blanket Knitting Pattern

This pattern gives you the instructions you need to make your own throw made with a neat moss stitch border and simple stockinette stitch. The Aran wool gives a great texture and warmth to the piece whilst keeping the throw light and durable. The moss stitch border helps to keep the edges of the throw tidy and roll-free. This simple and elegant design makes a great gift and fits is well with any décor.
The throw pictured is 40” x 50” (100cm x 125cm), the pattern also gives instructions for a larger throw, 50” x 60” (125cm x 150cm). If you would like to increase the size of the throw you can a) add extra rows which will make the throw longer, b) add extra stitches to make the throw wider. I have indicated on the pattern where to add extra rows and stitches to alter the size.
What you will need:
- Aran wool – 500g Small Throw, 800g Large Throw
- 5.5mm knitting needles
- blunt needle for weaving in the ends
* if you chose to increases the size of the blanket you will need to increase the amount of wool accordingly
